I tasted this beer at LaCrosse Oktoberfest on tap. A very good beer. nutty flavor. I had my own pitcher of this and the last glass was even better than the first which says alot about the smoothness. Alot of darker beers get bitter after several in a row but this didn’t. Creamy is a good discription also, I agree with the Beer Baron on that.. I rate it an A

good beer, nice malt but still smooth, not the most flavorful oktoberfest, but it goes down pretty good, just don't let it get warm

I really like this beer. It’s overall on the more mild side of Oktoberfest beers, but it’s got a smooth taste and finish to it. The price also helps too. I’ve found it for $10 for a case of bottles.

I found a case of this at the local supermarket for just over $6. It was about 5 months out of season, but still tasted pretty good.

Autumn orange color. Head was non existent. Sweet aroma. Prominent alcoholic kick upfront. Sharp hop mouthfeel. Lingering dryness. One of the best Marzen styles I have had.

After drinking City Brew this stuff is the bomb. It is the best City Brewery has to offer. Very flavorful with a nice finish.

Clear amber body with thin streams of bubbles that slowly drift upwards. Toasty crystal malt aroma with light bittering hops. A stronger hop presence in the flavor with their taking on a juicy-sweet stem and strawberry thing. Beyond that there’s the same dry toasty caramel. An enjoyable flavor, the hops do good for it.

God this is not a bad beer but it has a weird sweetness to it not found in any other wxample of this style. I mean the color aroma and spice is right but it has an unpleasent odd undertone. I mean it is not a bad beer but hardly worth a second try.
