Aroma is sweet medium malt-caramel. Taste is sweet medium malt-caramel, medium/dark fruit, smokey, secondary hops with a slight light bitterness at finish. OK carbonation. 3.5 tiggmtl (4179), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Oct 16, 2004 Husky and grainy in the nose. Clear copper with decent head that recedes slowly to ring. Very sweet and somewhat grainy with plenty of buttery diacetyl and a light bitterness in the finish. Sticky, slightly oily mouthfeel. On tap at the brewpub with DYCSoccer17, MartinT and Rastacouere. DYCSoccer17 (2040), Davis, California, USA Oct 15, 2004 Well, I personally had the iconoclastic palate the day I met up with the other Montreal boys here. It seemed as though everything I thought was ok, they hated, and vice versa. Creamy, sweet caramel malt aroma with hints of btter and maybe brown sugar? Perhaps these are "lactic" aromas, but I am not so certain what lactic smells like. Coppery orange color with nice frothy off white head. This beer pulverizes me with malts. Tons of caramel, butter, and roasted notes. Mildly metallic, quite sticky. Not too shabby. MartinT (4377), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 15, 2004 Hopeless lactic notes amongst the hay...A hop mini-fart sticks to the frail body which is not very sweet but still manages to be sticky...This place was not good with lagers at all that day...
