Pours deep reddish brown with average off-white head. Roasted malt and caramel chocolate aroma... Lighter flavor with a mild hop presence and a coffee finish.

Minimal head with light carboantion. Disappears pretty quickly. Sweet and roasty aroma with some caramel, roasted grains and some dark fruit. Very dark brown in color. Wow, big dissapointment in the flavor. Very weak and watery. A little roastyness and minimal sweetness. Pretty bland. Finish is a little creamy with a little lingering roastyness. An ok brew but really not a very good porter.

12oz bottle acquired in trade (Mystery Swap v2) with DocLock (thanks!). Poured a deeper mahogany color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of roast, chocolate, and caramel. Tastes of chocolate, roast, caramel, and a very light coffee finish.

Dark reddish-brown body and a lasting, creamy pale tan head. Chocolate and black cherry aroma plus light roast and mild citrus. Solid malt profile and moderately sweet with light bitterness. Medium bodied and easy drinking. A decent American-styled porter.

Bottle from Pat’s. Deep brownish pour with aroma of roasty malt, chocoff, molasses, some almond and bourbon and cinnamon. Tasted roasty malty with significant spices including nutmeg and cinnamon, plus some chocoff, and ovaltine.

12 oz bottle. Purchased at John’s Grocery in Iowa City, IA. Clear reddish dark brown color. Tan lasting head. Light malty chocolate aroma with hints of cereal grain and aluminum. Tasted terrible...like someone put iodine in my beer. Mouth feel was on the watery side.

Bottle. Mild aroma. Flavors of roasted malt. Slight carmelized qualitiy. Fairly well balanced and drinkable. Dark brown coloration. Not bad.

Almost black in color, with an tan head. Unfortunately, the head mostly disappears; otherwise, I would have given it a higher score. There is a small lace, though. Very faint caramel aroma, and I wish there was more of that, too. Mild coffee, roasted malt, and caramel are definitely in the flavor profile. Nicely proportionate regarding malts and hops. Finishes very gentle. Very subtle, pleasant aftertaste.
