12oz bottle acquired in trade (Mystery Swap v2) with DocLock (thanks!). Poured a deeper mahogany color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of roast, chocolate, and caramel. Tastes of chocolate, roast, caramel, and a very light coffee finish.

Pours a medium dark brown with a thin short-lived tan head. Lightly roasted sweet caramel malt aroma. Body is thin for a porter, but has a nice light sweetness throughout. Smooth, but uninteresting.

Dark brown with red highlights. Smells musty, somewhat like coffee and alcohol. Mild, somewhat rancid flavor of old vegetables mixed with coffee. One dimensional, and not offering much.

Pours a deep mahogany with a bubbly light brown head. The aroma is roasted malt & barley and dark caramel. Tastes both sweet and roasted, and then a rusty feel takes over, finishing on a bitter, metallic note that ruins the drink.

Dark mohogany brown with a two-tone tan and off white head. Brown sugar, with a touch of dark malt aroma. A mix between a lager, a dry stout and a weak bock. Faint hints at a brown porter. Just a fairly bland dark beer.

Bottle from Pat’s. Deep brownish pour with aroma of roasty malt, chocoff, molasses, some almond and bourbon and cinnamon. Tasted roasty malty with significant spices including nutmeg and cinnamon, plus some chocoff, and ovaltine.

12 oz bottle. Near-black walnut color with a big but speedily decaying brown head...minimal roasty/lightly sweet nose offers a bit of expression late but remains weak....mostly bitter, dry and roasty flavors with a touch of toffee, somewhat cardboardy finish, reasonably full. By the end of the bottle I was enjoying this a fair bit, but it’s quite forgettable a moment after the glass is empty.
