(Rating #2222)

Dark golden. Clear and noncarbonated. Yeasty aroma is sweet, and includes caramel, custard, and flan. Slick mouthfeel. Sweet flavors are intense and dessert-like. Even a tad salty! The apples are almost secondary flavors here. Interesting.

Still and golden. There’s some nice brown sugar to this one. Fresh, lively apple character. It still has nice sweet apple, but the body gives this simple version some style.

Bottle… Clear, light yellow cider with good legwork. Fruity, tangy, alcoholic aroma. Stale apple flavor with lots of tanginess. Surprisingly thin with not-so-forward alcohol. Thin, unfulfilling finish…dries way out. Good stuff, although my verbiage seems to indicated otherwise. I guess the flavor and finish didn’t quite keep all the promises that the nose seemed to make. Not as big as I was expecting - major dissonance. Kudos to TheCheeseMan for his generosity!

Courtes The Cheeseman. Pours a syrupy looking brilliant gold color, wit no head. Some subtle apples and cheese notes were evident, along wth small traces of acidity. More melow in its nose. The mouthfeel was very syrupy and sticky on the palate. The apples were more sour than I was expecting. Alo more of that syrupy flavor in it which made it a touch sweeter than I would have liked, but still pretty solid.

Bottle shared by Dickinsonbeer. Thick gold pour with few legs. Rich apple aroma is big and sweet but rather boozy. Sweet donut and cheese, apple flavor is a bit watery, but still pure and refreshing. Quite good but the alcohol is too strong. Can’t keep up with the big boys.
