lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA Apr 28, 2008 Pours amber with a light head. Smell is smooth, creamy malt and no hops present. Taste is blandish malt, balanced with light grassy and mostly unflavored bittering hops. Decent, but not something I’d recommend or have again. Kind of boring. alexanderj (2212), Chino Hills, California, USA Mar 13, 2007 On draft, at surprisngly Clark St. I actually enjoyed this pale ale quite a bit; maybe because it was a little different than versions I have had recently. Aroma of caramel malt and some cascade citrus/pine aroma. Flavor was a balance between sweet malt and some hops; rather laid back flavor for me. A good easy drinking beer. golubj (1275), Sunnyvale, California, USA Mar 13, 2007 Draft. Very likable pale ale. Nice aroma of hops. Flavor was sweet and had nice hop balance. Ughsmash (3978), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Jul 26, 2006 On tap. Poured a medium caramel-golden with a dusting of dirty white head. Nose was of deep, rich drawn caramel and toffee with Cascade notes (mostly pine)... quite sweet. Sweet caramel and pine in the flavor, with a solid citrus push at the back-end. Rather aggressive alcohol-fueled grapefruit bitterness at the finish. Close to medium-bodied. Caramel base could have been fuller, and the bitterness was a bit sharp. Not bad, though. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Apr 16, 2004 I am surprised I am only the second rater. This pours a medium gold with a red tint and a small white head. Aroma has oranges and a little bit of flowers. Taste is oranges and grass. There was tons of thick lacing. This is really smooth and light on the hops. Slightly bitter finish. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Jul 4, 2003 Light amber colour. Sour fruit aroma (grapefruit). A little unbalanced towards bitterness, slightly wet finish. Not much else going on.
