| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 13, 2007 I like to be to be bold, to stand out, to settle an amnesty for the little guy, obviously in this case it is a non-alcohol ’little guy’. Why the banter, why the derogatory, ill formed, ill instrumented comments. This is what it is, and for that, hey, it was a decent drop (to salvage my masculinity I drunk this one in private!).
Looks damn good in the glass, enough for top points pale lager-wise. A billowing plume of white, quite dense, adorns a sunny gold body harbouring tight, fine carbonation. Pleasant, not too aggressive, cereal grain nose, quite gritty and ripe, sweet but balanced barnyardy waft that was clean and fresh. Generous, palest grain flavours upfront in the mouth, conversionally sweet like breakfast cereal. The palate is otherwise dry moving into grasping, tangy efforts mid-palate towards, hold on a tick, f&*kin’ hops in back. Unexpected, this baby harbours much, oozing hops for balance, what N/A beer has that!?!, it peaks peppery, vineyard spicy and drops of bitter and florally tangy. It works just well enough for me to think of having another. Keeps good, downs easily even as it warms it stays refreshing and balanced. It’s light bodied and doesn’t drown into any of the Birell clones misfortunes, in fact I really enjoyed this one. Just don’t tell my mates!!! I actually checked to see if it was past date because the smell was so aweful. WOw! To be honest this beer was in a green bottle and I am pretty sure it had been light struck to hell so I will be a little bit forgiving. pintbypint (1007), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 17, 2007 330ml brown bottle. Very pale yellow, the head is airy and white and slowly collapses, leaves some decent lacing. Aroma is quite grainy with grassy hops. Tastes grainy, dry with some light lemon hop flavours, slight weak malt aftertaste. Watery mouthfeel. OleR (2076), Oslo, Norway

Light citric, light floral and light malty aroma. Quite dry malt flavors with a distinct hopbitterness. Not so light-bodied as the most n/a’s. Sourish finish. Drink and drive! tykjen (182), Florø, Norway
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jan 16, 2007 Some fresh hops in the aroma, besides some "cooked" malt. The malt sweetnes is very subdued compared to other non-alcohol beer I’ve tasted. There is almost a balance between the malt and the hops in this beer. A good choice if you must avoid alcohol. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 6, 2007 330ml bottle. Golden, pale body with a decent white head. Malty, grassy aroma. Flavor is malty with a certain level of bitterness close to an average Euro lager. Body is watery as always with a NA lager. Anyhow one of the best NA lager I have tasted so far. I actually drink a lot of this when I have to drive.
