Pours a very bright light gold. Nice pillowy white head releases a strong aroma of honey and slightly toasted grainy brown bread.
Flavour is at first strongly honey, without being cloying, and then becomes quite bitter.
Main weakness in this beer is the residual bitterness left on the palate.
I would think that this beer would have double the marks it has on this site if all tastings were blind. Get over yourselves macho men and rate beers on everything but it’s alcohol content.
The best low alcohol beer that I know is available in Wellington, NZ. cazort (413), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jan 12, 2005 Updated: Aug 4, 2007Extremely bitter among NA beers, very hoppy, a bit skunky. Tastes like a good pilsener with the body and malt flavour mostly taken away. Has some body. While it is seriously deficient in certain areas, it is still my non-alcoholic brew of choice when I want something very bitter. I don’t understand why this brewer doesn’t go for more body--compare this low-calorie beer with Penn’s best, which has lower quality hops, but has the body of a real beer. I gave the high rating because I am impressed with the quality, given that it is an NA, and I need to compensate for the other raters irrationally low ratings. The bottom line--I drink this more than any other beer and it would be outright wrong for me to not give it a top rating. AdamSkillin (376), High Bridge, New Jersey, USA

This could reasonably be passed off as beer, and actually has a bit of taste to it. My first choice for pretending to drink beer. Kinz (2205), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA

Slight bread aroma, very faint. Sort of a weird malty flavor, but not a bad one, faint hop bitterness. Decent alternative. motelpogo (4394), Plzen, Czech Republic
