Clausthaler Extra Herb

02/01 0.5 l can from Spar in Semriach. Got interested in Clausthaler beers as classic was the best NA I’ve had (meaning drinkable), and as I was really bored waiting 2 hours before dinner that day I decided to try other two Clausthalers offered.
Let’s see, golden body with small head, with typical skunk NA aroma. Flavor keeps it, but not completely. Then comes to some bitterish flavor which I am not used to see in NA’s. Quite bland and boring of course, but has that extra flavor, but also extra herb in form of extra rotten vegetables. I would say this is an NA with a character.

Bottled. The bottle looks not so good. The beer in the glass also. Why “extraherb”? – it’s not really dry. There are better non-alcohol beers. Not so good.

Very tin one, no base at all, only some mettalic bitter. pff I had a 500cl bottle.....

Light yellow and clear. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Faint malty-sweet aroma. Thin flavor, sweetness is the most present thing. Only faint bitterness. Watery texture.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is malts and hops, very pilslike. Flavour is very malty and hoppy. This is actually one of the best non-alco beers I have ever had. Thanks to the personnel at Tuulensuu in Tampere for mentioning they have this one "off the lists".

(Bottled) Clear golden with a smallish, but reasonable, lacy head. Neutral, herby-hoppy aroma with red currant, and hints of buttery-hoppy malt. Grassy-herby-hoppy flavor with some plastic hints, and a dryish, bitter finish. Light-bodied, but not watery palate with pretty high carbonation. Not at all bad for a N/A - only slightly plasticky.

Straw, huge, white head. The aroma has notes of soap and the flavour is sweetish with a rather fresh citrussy bitterness, notes of soap, flower and malt. Even if it isn’t a joy to drink it, it’s far from the worst low alcohol beer, I tasted. 1876

Heavy hoppy aroma. Large frothy initial apperance. White head color. Excellent lacing. Mostly lasting longevity. Clear sparkling body. Light yellow body hue. Heavy bitter initial flavor. Light to medium palate. Watery texture.
