A deep red beer with a lazing orange head. The aroma is sweet and like a good hop soup in which You’ve put oranges and caramel, but also with a note of alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty, with a quite strong alcohol presence, though the body is weak. There’s quite a lot of hops in it, which towards the end turns more and more dusty, but the flavor also contains a honey note. The end is dry, but until that sets in, the mouthfeel is smooth. Comes in a beautiful blue bottle.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear amber golden with a creamy, off-white head leaving a light lacework. Fat aroma of caramel and aroma hops. Full body with sweet caramel and toffee and some bitter hops - not a very clean hop profile though. Rather distinct alcohol. 240706

On tap. 2006 Vintage. Poured a deeper orangish / amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, caramel, and a little earthy. Tastes of citrus, toffee, caramel, oranges, and some dark fruitiness.

Bottle sampled on 3/26/07: Pours a clear copper dark bronze with a well-lacing, frothy off-white head. Aroma of complex, sweet caramel malt with a touch of toast and crystalized sugar and light fruits. Body starts with a nice, full caramel sweetness, light fruity complexity and a smooth, slightly warming finish. A good barleywine.

500ml bottle with B2 on swing top-pours an hazy brown. Aroma is dark malt, wheat. Taste is a dunkelweizen with noble hops. A bit different than would expect from the style.

on tap-Enjoyed this during a ‘Tour’ of the brewery with Kathy. Tour given byDave with an assist by Kurt. We had an interesting and fun time there. Color is an orange-red-brown. Aroma is vanilla, sweet. Taste follows along with a toastiness. A nice occasional beer.
