Aug 13, 2008 Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - GBBF2008. A dark copper coloured beer with a decent fruity hoppy aroma. The taste is also nice and hoppy. Quite English hops. Signs of freshness diminishing, and attempts at over complication but still ok.

Aug 9, 2008 Cask at GBBF ’08. Dark copper. Melony aroma, leafy and intriguing. Sweet nettly taste with a lovely bitter finish. The acceptability level of this is exteme.

Aug 8, 2008 Cask@GBBF08. Orangeish amber colour, not much head. Aroma is sour fruit and wood along with some mild grassyness and yeast. Flavour is wood, grass and yeast. Finish is a bit bittery. Dry palate.

Aug 5, 2008 Cloudy amber with tiny off white head. Sweet fruity aroma with floral hops. Sweet flavor with caramel and mild hoppy notes leading it to a bitter end.

Jul 6, 2008 Poured from a growler,and poured an amber color with a nice head.Aromas were of caramel and malt.The flavor was nice with hints of caramel,honey,malts and citrus.This is the first beer I tasted from Climax and thought it was pretty good ESB.

Apr 26, 2008 Tap at Barcade: Copper pour topped by an off-white head. Nose has some caramel/crystal malt notes and a mild/sweet citrus note. The flavor as some soft caramel notes along with a nutty hint in the background. The finish is mildly bitter and has a hint of orangey fruitiness. A decent Bitter Ale.
