jefcon (997), Arlington, Virginia, USA Nov 1, 2009 Growler. Golden in color, very little evidence of carbonation. Somewhat watery on the tongue -- light mouthfeel. Lots of caramel, but fairly one-dimensional. Drinkable, but too flat to evince much flavor or interest to the palate. Rciesla (3510), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Aug 18, 2009 Growler. Pours a golden white body with a foamy white head. Fruity wheat character, coriander, lemon grass, hints of spice and clove. Banana and bubblegum with a sweeter finish. Decent. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Sep 28, 2007 growler-pours a foamy to rocky white head and cloudy yellow color. Aroma is banana, musty wheat, some fruit-lemon and clove. Taste is musty wheat, some fruit-lemon and clove, banana. All the right ingredients, the taste just doesn’t come together for me. Not undrinkable, but one is enough. Fair amount of similarity to the cream ale and a home brewish character. Thanks to JWC215 for sharing. freekyp (900), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA Sep 19, 2007 Not my cup of tea. Banana tartness ruled this beer. This beer is missing the distinctive clove character of a hefe (this was planned by Dave Hoffman; no mistake) which makes for an interesting take, but also one I found I could not get my head around. Pours a cloudy maize with an ample white head. zathrus13 (1288), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA Aug 19, 2007 Cloudy yellow/gold, with a white head. Aroma is bananas, wheat, spices, and yeast. Flavor is wheat, spices, and citrus fruit. Rather refreshing. Not a favorite style of mine, but this is not bad. hophead75 (1945), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Aug 8, 2007 growler. Nice hazy light orange/golden in appearance with a medium to large off white head. Aroma is pretty nice: wheat, banana esters, light notes of bubblegum and spice. taste doesn’t live up to the aroma. Tangy wheat, lemon, and light esters and spices, although it seems pretty bland and watery. Still a solid effort though, as this is the first attempt.
