Basically a by-the- numbers IPA, with the requisite grapefruit/pine hop aromas and flavors on top of caramel malts. Besides finishing a bit too resiny, there’s nothing really to distinguish this one from the others, though the local brewing location gives it a small added bonus of freshness here. zathrus13 (1310), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 16, 2007 good flavor. nice hop and malt character that blends togeather well. feels good and goes down good with sudsy body and nice carbonation. could be better if flavor was a little more pronounced. this beer has a nice price - at least here in new jersey. a bit citrusy and flowery with a faint pine character. good everyday refresher. taeagan (9), USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2007 Personally I’m not a huge IPA fan, but this is definitely one of my favorite. Has the flavor and hop presence of an English style IPA but with American "c" hops. Great beer. freekyp (903), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 15, 2007 Updated: Sep 2, 2007This IPA is definitely hop-forward but not at all harsh. Liberal use of aroma and flavoring hops impart a strong floral character to this deep amber brew. It is pretty to look at as well, holding a strong off-white head that leaves behing thick string lacing on the glass. Bitterness is there, but not dominant. The malt character becomes a stronger player in the finish. HoppityHop (105), New Jersey, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 14, 2007 Poured a traditional cloudy IPA orange, but the head and lacing were extremely lacking. Smelled like apples. Tasted decent, but the malt overpowered the hops, and the overall flavor (what little there was) was basically woody, earthy, and slightly sweet.....with a touch of spice. As it warmed up, it became easier to drink and I was able to get more flavor out of the hops, but this is definitely not an American style IPA. As average as average could be, which could be a good thing, depending on what you’re looking for. From a small, long running, local brewery that only bottles in growlers, I was expecting more. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 24, 2007 Tap at Barcade: An amber beer with lots of clarity and a one-finger tan head. Not very aromatic, only some light sweet lemon notes are detectable. The flavor lacks hops as well, they’re only slightly detectable. Mainly there’s earthy, gritty, metallic malt flavors that lead toward a flowery bitterness in the finish. The hops need to be more refined. coldbrewky (736), Saugerties, New York, USA

Same at festivals on tap and on my porch from the growler. Steady lacing and decent head retention. Cleimentinesqe aroma wtih creamy body, sweeter with crisp ending.
