Dec 23, 2006 A fine pint. Bright deep golden pour. Same at festivals on tap and on my porch from the growler. Steady lacing and decent head retention. Cleimentinesqe aroma wtih creamy body, sweeter with crisp ending.

Oct 20, 2006 Medium coppery pour with aroma of bready malt, hops, fruit. Not a hop bomb, with a solid hop presence coupled with bready malt, slight fruit, and slight peppery spicy notes.

Oct 16, 2006 Updated: Apr 3, 2007Solid Amber color with light head that didn’t want to go away. Pretty good hop aroma, but not very strong. Taste is very malty for an IPA, hop bitterness was OK. This is more of a higly malted & sweet APA, but not bad all the same.

Sep 29, 2006 Tap at Barcade. Deep orange-amber beer. Aroma is quite malty compared with many other IPAs I’ve had recently. Earty hop nose over sweet caramelly malt notes. A touch of orange peel and tobacco/leafy hops. The flavour is similar, leafy and earthy hops but the flavour is mostly of sweet caramel and toast. Moderate bitterness but the lack of punchy hops and the sweet malts don’t really appeal to me. It isn’t poorly made, it just isn’t what I was looking for.

Sep 5, 2006 On tap at Barcade. Poured into a shaker. Color is dark amber. Aroma is very present - sweet malt and sweet hop. SWEET. Taste is literally bitter sweet. Fruits, plums, and a grassy hop. Some tea like flavors. All those fruit flavors make it sweet and the hop comes in to give it some bitter edges. Average mouthfeel and a sweet aftertaste. Mediumk bitterness. Impressed me.

Jul 12, 2006 6.11.06 Store-bought growler. My brother (who is not nearly as big a beer fan as I am) said "Wow, I like this beer". I agree with him. Not an IPA for someone expecting calamitous hops. Just a good ol’ pale ale with more hops than usual. Solid and tasty.

Jun 28, 2006 Had this on draft and on the hand pump at the same pub. I actually preferred the draft version over the cask. I think the cask was at about 70 degrees or so.
Nice citrus aroma with a real nice creamy, white head. Not intensely hopped. This is definitely not a West Coast version. This beer was easy on the palate. I could drink a lot of these.

May 14, 2006 Typical American IPA, but that’s not a bad thing. This was a very good example! Had at the LI Beer Fest as well!
