kevin62 (254), New Jersey, USA Jul 6, 2008 Had this from a growler-Pours an amber color with a nice off white head.Aromas were of light hops, pine, citrus and malt. The flavor was of hops, but not an overwhelming amount that you are used to in classic ipa’s.There were also hints of citrus and malt.An ok beer though.
TeamTrappist (207), jericho, New York, USA Jul 4, 2008 Tap at Barcade. I have been meaning to try this because I want to support local brewers, and if these guys don’t define micro brew, I don’t know what does. As for the beer, it poured a nice rich amber color. The nose was a nice piny, citrus hop. The flavor did not ring through as much as the nose suggested. The hop flavor is good, but for my liking could be a bit more intense. It was nice, but on the mild side.Decent mild bitter finish. A nice easy drinking beer. peepthesot (5), New Jersey, USA does not count Jun 16, 2008 Not a bad beer, but certainly not a classic IPA. Not nearly hoppy enough for the syle and what hop bitterness there is tastes subtley of soap, though not an overpowering defect. An ok brew, but misnamed...not enough hops, alcohol, or age for an IPA. A nice try though.... TheRealBastard (113), The-No, California, USA Mar 5, 2008 Growler. Poured a light amber color with egg-shell colored head. Simple kind of boring beer. Nothing really stands out about it. Taste is mainly citrus, but needs to be hoppier. Just not enough, kinda leaves you hangin. Probably will not buy this again. goldtwins (3747), Nesconset, New York, USA Jan 3, 2008 Tap @ Barcade. Poured a clear amber color with an off-white head. The aroma was moderately hopped with floral and citrus notes. Some caramel malt underneath. The flavor was a mix of citrus and malt with an earthy finish. Mild -moderately bitter. Light-medium body.
