Pours to a bright, copper color, with a thick, creamy, white head, and a soft carbonation. The nose on this beer is outstanding, with lots of good flowery/citrus hop aroma, paired with some good pale and biscuit malt aroma. The palate is soft, with lots of good pale and biscuit malt flavor, paired with ripe estery fruit flavor, and light touches of tangy hop flavor. This beer finishes with more really good pale malt and estery fruit up front, then ends with a very pleasing flowery/citrus hop bitterenes that lingers. Amazingly fresh, and flavorful, Climax impresses me again. A classic example of British inspired IPA, this beer, is very flavorful, yet so drinkable. I think those who think this beer isn’t hoppy enough, are missing the whole point of this beer, and what great IPA is all about. It isn’t about American hop monsters, with brutal, thoat peeling hop bitterness. A great IPA is about showcasing great hop aroma, flavor, and bitterness. Climax IPA is a great example of an IPA with great balance of all three hop elements, This is what really impresses me about Climax. Their beers strike such an awesome balance between flavor and drinkability. You can really smell and taste the ingredients in this beer, and the end product is just so tasty and drinkable. Another great beer, from New Jersey’s first mico brewery. obxdude10 (1563), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA

An overall excellent IPA. taeagan (9), USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2007 Personally I’m not a huge IPA fan, but this is definitely one of my favorite. Has the flavor and hop presence of an English style IPA but with American "c" hops. Great beer. jcwattsrugger (5573), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Taste follows with the hops being less dominant than most IPA’s, a little bite. jeffin7 (610), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA
