On tap at Barcade. Pours a hazy brown with a thin white head. Caramel, chocolate, light vanilla, some nutty malts. Medium bodied, chocolate, vanilla. Finishes dry and with a light roasty bitterness.

Aroma: pretty horrendous, with a very weird stale malt/off character. Taste is chcocolate and caramel, pretty well attenuated and dry. the same off character plays a role in the taste, but nowhere near to the level of the aroma. I don’t think I have had a truely good beer from this brewery yet. BREWMUSKCLES (1070), New Jersey, USA

HEY IT’S A DECENT NUT BROWN ALE. LITTLE HOPPY. BETTER THAN A LOT OF THE ENGLISH ONE’S I HAVE TASTED. SWEETNESS IS OVERSIMPLE. Definitely more a dark mild ale than a brown. One of the best you’ll find. freekyp (900), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA

Decidedly English character with a lightly earthy malt and hint of cocoa, this brew stays on an even keel from sip to swallow. I would liked a bit more sweetness and more assertive malt character. Very dry finish.
