A very good example of an oktoberfest beer. Not like the lame versions that are coming out of Germany now. A nice big malty backbone without being cloying.

Philly Craft Beer Festival. Small plastic sample cup. Clear brown with a light white head. Sourish lacto malts. Hints of tobacco and brown sugar. Moderate hops. Light carb, medium light. Good O-Fest.

Draught @ Drafting Room, Exton: Sweet aroma with a lot of floral hops. Also some light caramel malts. Poured a deep amber color with a small, off-white head that lasted. Good lacing. Clear. Flavor was malty and moderatly sweet, but well balanced with some floral hops. Tastes a little bit like Cheerios cereal. A little earthy yeast too. Chalky finish was a bit bitter. Light to medium body. Soft carbonation. Overall, pretty good, and well balanced.

Pours a translucent golden amber with a bubbly off white head. Aroma of fruity, sweet malts and banana. Flavors of teh same. Kind of an interesting Okt.

Deep amber with an off white head which held up well. Aroma had sweet Vienna malts along with caramel, currant and an herbal quality. Taste was quite sweet and had hints of caramel, toasted malts and toffee. Palate was quite full for the style. This is how it should be done in my opinion.

Growler purchased at Oaktree. Pours a nice clear deep ambe rwith a thin off white head and some lace. Aroma is nutty, toasted malts, bready, munivh and vienna with a nice herbal hop balance. Sharp hoppy flavor with nicely toasted malts, nuts, light caramel, toffee, and a nice clean bitter finish. Nice lingering finish in the mouth. Solid Oktoberfest.

sampled from growler. A nice amber/copper with a small compact off white head. medium carbonation on this beer. Aroma is malty with some citrus hops. Taste is nice and malty, some grain, lightly roasty, citrus and floral hops, slightly bitter finish. By far the best Oktoberfest I have tried so far, although I haven’t had many.

On tap at barcade, looks similar to a copper ale. redish with a light brown color. Smells a bit citrousy and taste malty. Not much head on this one but it was fresh.
