| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 21, 2006 Draft at the Drafting Room in Exton. This one pours dark coppery, toward the brown end of the spectrum, with a medium off-white head. The aroma is caramel malty, with some red wine, nut, and roasty notes. The flavor has that dense malty element, plus some nuttiness, tobacco, and merlot hints. Decent complexity and pretty good balance. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Nov 25, 2005 Bready, toasty, round, brown malt character is pleasantly inviting in the aroma. Clear, copper coloured body is topped by a low but long lasting, off white head that coats the glass. Toasty, bready malts are dominant up front with moderate finishing bitterness. Mid-palate floral and perfumey hop flavours and caramelized, doughy characteristics emerge. Medium body fills the mouth with gentle effervescence. Sampled on tap at Barcade in NYC with Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 1, 2005 Draft at the Grey Lodge In Philly. Ok beer. Had a slight carmel taste to it. Was a little darker then the average OFest. Rastacouere (5559), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 6, 2005 Cask at Barcade under the name Hofmann(sic) cask-conditioned oktoberfest. Eternal rocky off-white head tops the dark amber and hazy robe. Both heavily malty and heavily hoppy nose. Generous toastiness is like biting in a biscotti, grainy, soft, clean. Awesome complexity in the hop profile and fruitiness for an Oktoberfest. Several notes of leafy lemon, juicy figs, litchis, peach join together in a spicy, peppery medley of flavours that are attached together by expert hands. Light-medium bodied, oily restrained carbonation, finishing quite bitter, close to astringent. The softness of the malt, the suppleness of the union of the elements together. Climax rules with lagers, impeccable execution. Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 12, 2004 Pours amber/red, with very little head. Aroma is sweet malt. Flavor is well balanced between malt aand hops. It’s the malt that shines thru, but there are more hops, (mostly in the beginning), here than most Octoberfests. It’s not too heavy, and is smooth going down.
