Dec 7, 2007 Really roasty caramel and molasses. Unlike my pal Puzzl, I find the body a bit thin but I love the burnt grains. Tons of anise.

Dec 6, 2007 Tap at Barcade: Deep brown pour with ruby in the light, topped with a creamy tan head. Nice roasted barley aroma. Has a light nuttiness, along with mocha suggestions. Fairly light in body, but the flavor is solid. Has a silky character and a nice roasted, slightly chocolaty presence. The finish is nice and mocha-like. A smooth and tasty Porter, easy-going.

Nov 25, 2007 On cask at Barcade. Decent if unexciting beer, doesn’t marry too well to the cask. Murky, drawn out, lightly minerally and roast aroma. A bit of hard water in the flavor on top of a oxidized coffee finish. Body is fairly spot on but I could’ve used a bit more malt and balance. More of the same, really.
