12oz bottle: Pours a strawberry blonde color with a swirling, pure white head. The aroma is buttery and sweet, like a melted caramel might smell if you added a touch of citrusy hops. The butter explodes in the body, but in a good way. The sweetness is addictive - honey, caramel, sweet rolls, butterscotch and on and on. It never becomes cloying or overly sweet though. Very good.

Smells sweet, amber color, scant head, smooth, malty, straightforward; good interpretation of German style; good not great.

A clear dark amber brew with a small, quickly dissapating white head. A hearty malt flavor is lightly balanced with hops. A robust mouthfeel, much bigger than a classic marzen. It has a pleasant, lingering aftertaste

Pours amber-orange with a thin white head. Aroma is that of sweet malt and caramel. Flavor profile picks up some toasted malt and caramel. Crisp, clean finish. A nice Märzen.

Hazy amber pour with a small white head. Little if any aroma. Maybe a hint of wheat malt. Taste is smooth, slightly sharp and malty. An OK drinker.

pours a hazy light copper with a white head. aroma is a little malty with light fruit, some bread and some caramel. taste has some light fruits, dough, and some caramel. not very complex. somewhat mellow. a nice roast caramel malt coating in the mouth on the finish. mid-full bodied with a bubbly mouthfeel. not bad, not great. good. mine might be a little skunked, so i’ll have to try it again.

May 2006 - A decent marzen. A notably sweet malty / caramel base, smooth mouthfeel and minimal spices.
