Bottle- Nice malty body and enough hops to make this beer very nice, great session beer and interesting interpretation.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear light orange color. Head was off white and reduced very quickly to nothingness. Aroma was of light brown sugar accented by hints of apple and noble hops. Flavor was more fruity than malty with mingled subdued apple and caramel flavors. Eh.

Bronze in color with light white head. Aroma contains bread and biscuits. Flavor is dry and biscuity with a hint of grape skin. Not bad, but not great. $2/12oz

Pale body with no head. Aroma is like apple juice and spice. The flavor is quite malty but still has a bit of apple juice flavor.

On tap. The pour was a clear, light amber with a paper thin white head that managed to provide minimal lacing. The aroma was sugary sweet. Some malt and a bit of light spice came in as well, but the sugary sweetness dominated this one. The flavor was quite bland with sugar cookie and thin spice trying to push through. Thin mouthfeel.

Thin, swift head on a soft brown semi-effervescent body in a willibecker....moderate cereal/grain malt taste...quite pleasing, and surprising, considering the usual alcohol-mongering this brewery pedals...lively, medium, dry palate...initial sweetness in average duration....wow--this fits the Oktoberfest spirit well....this smooth and sharp brew is character-filled and appropriate....a shame it’s a seasonal...

Pours orangish amber witha fully receding off-white head. Aroma of toasted malt, crackers, and nuts. Taste is light sweet, bread dough, with crackery malt and caramel. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with lively carbonation.

10/27/2007: BaltoMärzHon ***Santa Hon*** Märzen Lager pours a pale amber color with a diminishing foamy off-white head. It has a typical Oktoberfest beer aroma that is moderately sweet and is grainy with toast and a hint of caramel. The flavor is also typical of the style and mildly sweet with notes of caramel, toasted bread, and crisp malt. There is a bit of bitterness in the smooth finish. Good balance. This beer has a medium body but doesn’t really have anything too terribly exciting happening with it.

12 fl. oz. bottle from The Party Souce in Bellevue, Kentucky. Rating #74 for this beer...
