Coming in at 5.8% abv, it is brewed with Pils, Munich and Vienna Malts then hopped with Tettnang and Hersbrucker hops. It is a very flavorful, but drinkable beer style, that also matches well with a number of dishes.
BaltoMarzHon pours to a beautiful deep golden to light amber color, with a thick white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose on this beer is fantastic with really good toasty and nutty malt aromas, paired with mild herbal hop aromas. The palate is firm and clean with really crisp pilsner and toasty malt flavor. The body on this beer is round and smooth making it such a drinkable beer. BaltoMarzHon finishes with more crisp and toasty malt up front, then ends with a perfect amount of grassy hop bitterness to balance out the malt character of this beer.

Sweet toasty caramel malty aroma has a mild noble hop bitterness for balance. Body starts with nice caramel sweetness turning more thin, semi-dry and smooth toward the finish. A very drinkable, fairly true to style Märzen. goldtwins (4080), Nesconset, New York, USA

Not bad for a marzen, and I’m starting to think that marzens are just not for me. jmuhops (663), Winchester, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 12, 2005 Pours orange-amber with a one-finger head and some effervescence. Big, sweet, malt aroma, along with an ever-so-slight hint of pumpkin spice. As smooth as an Oktoberfest should be, but not nearly as flavorful as I would like. The malt flavor just doesn’t live up to the malt aroma. Blander than Dominion’s or Victory’s Fest, but not a bad domestic attempt.
