Coming in at 5.8% abv, it is brewed with Pils, Munich and Vienna Malts then hopped with Tettnang and Hersbrucker hops. It is a very flavorful, but drinkable beer style, that also matches well with a number of dishes.
BaltoMarzHon pours to a beautiful deep golden to light amber color, with a thick white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose on this beer is fantastic with really good toasty and nutty malt aromas, paired with mild herbal hop aromas. The palate is firm and clean with really crisp pilsner and toasty malt flavor. The body on this beer is round and smooth making it such a drinkable beer. BaltoMarzHon finishes with more crisp and toasty malt up front, then ends with a perfect amount of grassy hop bitterness to balance out the malt character of this beer.

Very smooth with a pleasant spiciness that doesn’t overpower. It may say seasonal but this is always in the fridge. Braudog (3778), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Sep 24, 2006 Bottle: Poured a bright orange with a solid foamy head. Tart, tangy sting on the nose hairs on the first whif. Drinks crisp and extremely clean, with a nice tangy tingle on the tongue and lips ... delicious amber lager, bright and sparkly. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 7, 2007 Thin, swift head on a soft brown semi-effervescent body in a willibecker....moderate cereal/grain malt taste...quite pleasing, and surprising, considering the usual alcohol-mongering this brewery pedals...lively, medium, dry palate...initial sweetness in average duration....wow--this fits the Oktoberfest spirit well....this smooth and sharp brew is character-filled and appropriate....a shame it’s a seasonal... pauljackson1 (25), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA

I expected a little less attenuation, maybe a little more complexity, but not complaining - it leave room for seconds!(!) Rib Eye (143), USA

This is an exception. Smooth, malty and nary a bitter note to be found. Very drinkable and enjoyable, though not terribly exciting. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 11, 2008 A clear dark amber brew with a small, quickly dissapating white head. A hearty malt flavor is lightly balanced with hops. A robust mouthfeel, much bigger than a classic marzen. It has a pleasant, lingering aftertaste
