Commercial Description:
A bronze medal winner at the Great American Beer Festival in 2000, this ale was the Official Beer of the Baltimore Bicentennial in 1997. Well rounded and complex, with a deep golden color, this is an American style ale with a distinct fruity pallet and floral, spicy hop aromas.

Draft. Pours a slightly hazy light gold with almost no head and thus no retention and no lacing. Aroma is bready, doughy malt with some lemon, grass, cereal, honey, and Fuggles hops. Taste is biscuity malt with honey, light citrus, and faint balancing English hops. Because it poured with no head, I feel that the oxidation has really given this brew a poor showing.

The beer is clear, light gold in color with a small white head, and has a fresh, mild hop aroma. There’s low carbonation here and the body is light, but not watery. Definitely the type of beer you could have a few of without feeling gross. Flavor was a bit fruity - apples and apricots perhaps. The hops gave the ale a little kick, but were by no means a dominating characteristic. The finale had a pleasant lingering bitterness. Great summer beer with some personality.

Amber ale with a thick lacing off white head. Aroma of caramel and English hops. In mouth, a good caramel base, butterscotch, lightly oily mouthfeel. Medium bodied. 3$ glass at Diamond Tavern (Hilton Baltimore).

Gold, creamy white head. Light fruity citrus nose warms to a faint toasty biscuit-like notes. Earthed nut and toast flavors balances on a light fruity bitter hoppiness. Light bodied with soft carbonation. A session beer that just screams perfect for a crab fest...
