Commercial Description:
A bronze medal winner at the Great American Beer Festival in 2000, this ale was the Official Beer of the Baltimore Bicentennial in 1997. Well rounded and complex, with a deep golden color, this is an American style ale with a distinct fruity pallet and floral, spicy hop aromas.

A light amber beer with a rich, malty aroma. The head is modest and laces the sides of the glass. The flavor is full and pleasantly complex - I could taste yeast, grains, and grass. The hops are lite, but this does not prevent the flavors from coming together nicely. A very drinkable all-around ale that is probably good on its own or with a meal. I had a bottle of this which for some reason tasted much better when I drank it from a glass than strait from the bottle.

A nice session ale. Very nice mouthfeel sticks out on this one. Not too many flavours, just very, er, beery.

The aroma was malty and lightly spicy (hops) with caraeml and a bit of a toasty note. The beer poured clear medium golden with a lasting low white head. The flavor was malty with caramel and a lightly spicy hop presence in both flavor and bittering. The flavor was fairly crisp with a nice malt backbone which was quite deep, but contained no appreciable complexity. The body was medium with a somewhat low level of carbonatation and a crisp character on the palate. The finish was dry with a lasting impression of both caramel and hops into the aftertaste. A nice beer, but nothing to seek out. 12 ounce bottle at Mo’s in Glen Burnie, MD. Bottle was dated Best before Mar 06.

Draft at Camden Yards. Poured a golden/copper color with a white head. Not much going on here, slightly hoppy aroma, weak flavor with a creamy mouthfeel. Oh well it’s another beer that I can say I tried and I guess it was better then almost anything else they had at the ball park.
