Commercial Description:
A bronze medal winner at the Great American Beer Festival in 2000, this ale was the Official Beer of the Baltimore Bicentennial in 1997. Well rounded and complex, with a deep golden color, this is an American style ale with a distinct fruity pallet and floral, spicy hop aromas.

On tap in Baltimore. Not bad, but nothing exciting to me. I like more flavor, bitterness and punch in my beer. Easy drinking, but suffered in contrast to the Sam Adams Lager I had following. Too light and innoffensive- perhaps a good transition beer for macro drinkers.

Pours golden to light amber with a thin white head. Light caramel malt aroma with no apparent hops. Flavor is much like the aroma. Creamy on palate, but lacks any complexity in the malt or hop characters.

Poured a clear gold with an off white head. Malty aroma with notes of honey. Flavor matches aroma...malty sweet with some caramel.

Pours a clear pale golden with a thin, lightly-lacing white head. Very subtle, lightly hoppy with a touch of crystal malt in the aroma. Body is very mild, drinkable and smooth with good balance, but not much going on flavor-wise.

Bottle, clear yellow pour. Light malty aroma, maybe a bit buttery. Light malty flavors, maybe some lighter sweet fruits like a pear. Finishes well.

Very good pale-ish ale, great aroma, great lingering flavor. Somewhat hoppy but kind of sweet. I get it whenever I see it, which is not often.

pours out a beautiful clear golden color with a white head which dissipated quickly but never completely went away. The aroma was nice and mostly of sweet malts. There was an undertone of hops if I went looking for it. dominated by a biscuit-like malty sweetness. I could also taste what I can only describe as something like whole wheat bread. The bitterness of the hops came through on the finish. The carbonation level was good and gave some bite to the bitterness

bottle from Rich. kind of malty with hints of caramel. some hop bitterness on the finish but the two just never seemed in balance. a decent beer, very drinkable, just kind of average.
