Commercial Description:
Created to celebrate Clipper City’s 10th Anniversary – extremely limited and vintage dated – this extravagantly malty barley wine will show well upon release but continue to evolve for years.

An amber beer with a thich light brown head. The aroma is malty with slight notes of both hops and caramel. The flavor is very sweet and matly, but also with strong notes of caramel, leading to a dry woody and bitter end.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of markgugs. Vintage 2006. Clear amber golden with a small, off-white head. The nose is full of overripe fruit and some aroma hops. Solid body with plenty of caramel, overripe fruit and a little vanilla. Warming alcoholic finish - yet rather soft. 290308

(draft) Clear amber body topped by a pillowy off-white head that leaves lovely lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, cantalope, some alcohol, herbal, light plum. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, some alcohol, light raisin. Medium-full body. I will be curious to see if aging improves this.
