Aroma - Bananas, brown sugar, spice, yeasty bread, faint alcohol

Appearance - Hazy deep copper, substantial creamy, light tan head that settle to a 1/8" layer that persists, average lace

Flavor - Sweet malt flavors of caramel and dark fruit are front and center, some spicy bitterness comes through slowly, and a distant tartness noted at the finish.

Palate - Medium body and carbonation, ridh and smooth, tends toward being sweet

Overall - A good weizenbock, lots of flavor, very drinkable. My only complaint is that it could be a little drier.

The flavor is abrasive; sweet bananas, alcohol, and a bit of spicy yeast. It’s pretty good, but this just isn’t my thing.

Deep dark brown pour with a tannish head. Fruity aroma with some notes of caramel and spice. Roasted malt, caramel and some burnt flavors. This lacks the overpowering sweetness found in a lot of bocks and doppelbocks, and instead is surprisingly well-balanced by the bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is thick and carbonation is lively. Alcohol is noticeable at times but it doesn’t take away from the beer. It’s pretty good, I’d recommend it to people

Deep brown pour. Rich, caramely aroma, refreshing different. Taste is sweet and malty. Powerful stuff. Additional Notes from bottle: This isn’t as good when it’s your first beer. The alcohol is REALLY noticeable and detracts greatly from the taste.

Brown pour with creamy white head and lace. Cinnamon and clove on the nose. Roasted malt, molasses, abv and a light to medium bitter. Carbonation is a bit aggressive, medium/full bodied. All round good ber complex very much pushes style limits but is good.

On draft at the GL. Pours a cloudy dark amber with a coppery tint and a small light beige head. Aroma of cloves, banana, wheat and other spices. Taste is spicy with hints of cloves, bananas, wheat and light candied sugar.

This murky brown pour has a sweet nose. It is very sweet in flavor too. Plenty of malt but it is cut with some nice spices. It is quite strong and you can taste it at times.

Bottle. Pours a dark reddish amber with a thin tan head. Aroma is doughy and caramely. with a hint of smoke. Flavor is sweet and tangy, with a definite bacon/smoke character in the background. It’s heavy on the malts with only a slight hoppiness; very bready and rich. Alcohol is moderately noticeable, especially for such a high-octane brew. Finishes tart and warm. There’s not much of the sour twang typical to most weizenbocks, but this is pretty tasty.
