Sweet smell of candy, wheat and malt. Taste is somewhat sharp and cloying too. Kind of thick and chewy. Ok I guess, but don’t see myself drinking another anytime soon. dsm (109), Baltimore, Maryland, USA

There is a lot of wheat, some sweetness and caramel. Very malty. I am going to look for this one again. timmydent (19), fishers, Indiana, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 1/20 | Mar 26, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Some classic German wheat beer flavor profiles going on, but too sweet for me. Looks unclean and muddy. Decent nose. Adventinus blows this out of the water in complexity and hidden alcohol content. I am still not impressed with anything these guys have done. antzman (313), Clarksville, Indiana, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 25, 2008 Pours a very murky orange/red with a thin white head. Very little lacing on the glass. The aroma is malty and sweet. Banana, clove, caramel, brown sugar. The flavor is malty, with a slightly sweet finish. Fruity, caramel, and a hint of hops on the finish. A definate warmer, but the alcohol flavor is masked. I would love to try this with a little age on it. browe (7), Georgia, USA does not count | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 21, 2008 I love it. I could drink it all night. Better than schneider avenintus. High alch. and a great full flavor. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 18, 2008 Murky brown-red body under a small white head. Grape Jolly Rancher, banana, and caramel malt. The flavor kicks in lots of fruity esters, caramelly malt, and a light hop bittering. Lots of fruity goodness in here with no alcohol badness. MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 14, 2008 (Bottle (best purchased before 3/08) from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/massachusetts/w target=blank>Julio’s Liquors) Quite a booze monster...Pours cloudy burnt amber with a tall light amber-biege head. Aroma of banana, brown sugar and clove or pepper. Aroma is quite sweet and promising. Mouthfeel is soft, smooth, full, maybe a bit sticky in finish. Patchy, weepy lacing. Flavor is brown-sugary sweet and boozy - lots of alcohol presence - but hey who cares that’s what this style is all about sometimes. Wheaty malt taste. Banana upfront transitions toward more pepper in the finish. Enjoyed this one!
