This here bottle has a fine layer of yeast at the bottom. It won't send you to Davy Jones' locker, but will protect your brew from the rigors of life at sea! 1-4-08 thanks to Fly!!!
Smells like a hefeweizen. Thick reddish brown with no head. Can pick up some of the alcohol too. There is a malt stickiness to it with that hefeweizen wheaty funk (in the taste and smell). Nothing I will write home to mom about. ho hum - just not a preferred style at all.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized tan colored bubbles that were and left behind a transparent softly carbonated brown colored body. The mild aroma was brown malt and musty. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The yummy flavor contained notes of crisp caramel vinous and brown malt. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

A cloudy brown color with a small head. Aroma is of sweet malt and yeast. Has a rather sweet flavor with a hint of some roasted bitterness. Hides the alcohol presence well. Rather nice and easy to drink.

The color was a hazy caramel red. The head was thin, creamy, and off-white. The aroma was alcohol, wheat, and caramel malt. The flavor was alcohol, wheat, and sweet malt. The palate was thick-bodied and the finish, warm.

Bottle. Appearance: Hazy copper brown, beige head. Aroma: Spicy and fruity. Banana, clove, nutmeg. Palate: Medium/full. Flavor: Banana, caramel, nutmeg, pretty spicy. Hops and slight alcohol is also noticeable. Overall: This beer really exceeded my expectations. Very good.

Strong sweet, yeasty, estery aroma. Pours a clear red with a ring of tan head. The flavor on this is very sweet. Hints of fruit, a touch of citrus, and a bit of spice. Alcohol warming in the back of the throat. Not a big fan of this style myself.

Bottle. Hazy amber pour with thin caramel head. Little carbonation. Aroma of bread, bananas and sugar. Taste of sugar, malt and faint spices. Really thick, with a swee finish.

This may be no Aventinus, but it sure does rank up there. Well done. Spicy and estery, sweet but not so much so.. I suppose that I find this has not near the complexity that the German counterpart does, but is still quite enjoyable nonetheless. That it is 10% is more than well hidden.
