Rated while drinking: Pours a dark caramelized amber with virtually no head but lots of sediment at the bottom of the glass. Overwhelming wheat and yeast smell on the nose; very fruity. Pretty stinky. Taste is quite spicy, fruity, and has an almost roasted aftertaste. Pretty complex. Alcohol burn at the esophagus. Feels medium bodied on the tongue and roof of the mouth, nice balance of carbonation, but a bit too sticky on the lips. Tasty beer but the 10% does show itself very quickly.

Nice effort, but too much alcohol. Great nose, sweet and bready. The tongue is greeted with dark fruity spice and maltiness before the 10% kicks in. Maybe next year...

bottle from ucusty. BB 02/08. tasted at nearly room temp. pours a beautiful nutty brown with orange highlights and a thin off white head. aromas of metallic/malts, flowers, bread, light molasses, smoke and alcohol. tastes much the same...a banana sandwich on dark wheat bread

Bottle courtesy of slob. Pours brown and hazy with a thin ring of white bubbles. Smells of citrus, cookies, roses, tea, some honey, sugar and some ginger. Tastes of pepper, fusel alcohol, some oranges and hints of spice. The nose is great on this but the alcohol really interferes with the flavor. Palate is surprisingly thin. Finish is sweet but fusel and sulfuric. Not nearly malty enough.

Bottle sampled. Pours a dark amber with a thin beigh head. Aroma of wheat, caramel, banana, and sweet malts. Full- bodied with a strong malty flavor with wheat, bananas, dark fruits, brown sugar, and a hint of smoke. Alcohol well hidden. A very good weizenbock.

Clear ruby amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet spiced aroma with some banana. Heavy malty flavor. Sweet heavy alcohol with a banana background.
