Hazy auburn body with a small beige head. The aroma is vinous, toffee and berry. The flavor is lightly sweet, toffee, raisins, light black cherry and herbal. Medium body is soft and chewy with light carbonation and a lightly warm and just a touch astringent finish. Nice.

Lightly hazy copper body, minimal light tan head. Banana clove wheat aroma. Smells sweet and no hints of the alcohol content. The flavor is quite wonderful, good caramel sweetness that marries well with the wheat components. The palate is fantastic. Sometime these strong wheats can get too attenuated and be very prickly, yet not refreshing. This one is not really refreshing per-se but it has a wonderful velvety smooth mouth-feel. A definite winner. I hope these guys pick up the Dominion contract cast-offs!

12 oz bottle purchased at Moneghans. Poured a murky brown with slight orange hues and a light tan foamy head. Aroma is lots of wheat, fresh grass, lemon, alcohol and tropical fruit. Palate on this sucker is very thick and it’s obvious that this is an alcohol bomb, so much so that I am having trouvle typing this as the alcohol overtakes me. Flavor is nice none the less with obvious wheat, spice, alcohol, pepper and fermenting banana. I think this might mellow out nicely and need to grab some to cellar. Worth trying despite the low rating.

Fairly thick pour of a chocolate brown color. Thin skin of espresso-stained milky cream. Syrupy candied raisins, old bananas, coriander and sweetened almonds on the nose. Alcohol powers through in a bathroom cleaner kind of way. Fermented raspberries and cinamon. Vinegar-soaked tomato with warming. A dry and brisk wheat flavor leads, dirty and earthy. A kind of port-barrel dark heat. Brown sugar, toffee, plum, tangerines, rye whiskey. Alcohol is definitive despite the intricacy that shines with a dull sparkle underneath. That bit of vinegar gets a little heavy with a thick glaze on a malty finish. Fairly viscous in the mouth with a monolithic sweet remnant. It’s not poorly made, but it’s definitely hard to enjoy. Confused, and underdeveloped. Thanks Jason!

Bottle from JB175. Thanks!
Pours a nice raisin amber with a full head of off-white and a lush aroma of plumb, red wine, and coriander. Full flavor of alcohol, red grape, plumb, molassess, alcohol, and alcohol. Thin mouthfeel detracts from the fullness of the flavor combinations. Could be spectacular with a thicker mouthfeel.

Pours a clear bright copper with a thin, small-bubbled off-white head. Big aroma of sweet wheat, banana and clove has some good German yeasty notes and is very true to style. Starts full malty and wheaty with nice complex yeasty balance and good peppery clove spice and sweet banana flavor toward a doughy finish. A very authentic and enjoyable Weizenbock.

Cloudy mahogany appearance with a small, off white head and sparce lacing. Wheaty, fruity (banana not as pronounced as some darker fruits), spicy (more in line with weizen esters), with a hint of caramel. Earthy flavor, slightly tart, moderately sweet, decently hopped. Full bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel. Ripe fruit evident in the aftertaste. Long lasting finish. 10% abv? Guess I’ll be feeling this one a little later.
