bottle - Pours dark amber with a one finger off white head. The aroma is of sweet malt with some dark fruit and wheat. It tastes very sweet and a little fruity. The alcohol is really hidden under all that malt. I think there’s a little spice there too, but while good it’s so sweet that I thought subtleties were overwhelmed.

Pours an amber-mahogany into the glass, with a diminishing tan head that leaves sparse lace. The nose has lots of yeast, leading to a musty melon banana contingency. The flavors are similar, of unripened bananas, sweet malt, aerated sugars, slight cloves and just a pinch of Allspice. The mouthfeel is a bit contradictory... round and mellow, yet refreshing for the style... nothing heavy-handed. On the whole, a decent Weizen Bock, but the integration and complexities of the brew keep this out of the "top-tier" shelving.

Has a pale cola-like color and a small but persistent light tan head which laces the glass. Aroma is stewed prunes, clove and wine. Tastes of dryed fruit and mulled wine with a little citrus thown in. Some cinnamon and toffee notes are also present, along with plenty of ABV warmth.

12oz bottle 2/27/09 (Knightly Spirits)-Pours an amber brownish cloudy body with a head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of sweetness, clove, and banana. Taste of the same with the banana, clove, and some alcohol being prominent. This medium bodied brew is a nice tasting weizen bock. Well balanced and quite tasty.

Hang Ten is cleanly brewed but much simpler than Aventinus, which it tries to emulate. Its aroma is sweet and clovey, but no other flavors emerge. The extra alcohol is readily apparent, but doesn’t add to the experience. I can’t seriously recommend Aventinus fans like myself to switch loyalties.

Bottle. Pours an amber body with an off white head. lots of fruity esters from the wheat, cherry, bubblegum, a hint of citrus and even a note of chocolate. Banana and some light spices as well. Not bad couldn’t believe this was 10%.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Bubblegum aromas. Slick with sweet molasses and raisins upfront and a lasting bubblegum and alcohol finish.
