Feb 19, 2009 Bottle. Pours an amber body with an off white head. lots of fruity esters from the wheat, cherry, bubblegum, a hint of citrus and even a note of chocolate. Banana and some light spices as well. Not bad couldn’t believe this was 10%.

Feb 9, 2009 Pours deep amber into a shaker. Bubblegum aromas. Slick with sweet molasses and raisins upfront and a lasting bubblegum and alcohol finish.

Feb 7, 2009 I love the style Weizen Bock, but don’t try it often enough as I should. Amber with mega floaties and a thin white head. Aroma of banana, clove, fruit, yeast, bread and alcohol. Taste of banana, toasted malt, fruit, sweet malt, clove and sugar. Noticeable warmth with a spicy-fruity and raison finish. Pretty good.

Jan 24, 2009 Bottle - Slightly hazy dark copper body, fast disappering beige head; Very strange nose, medical, band aid like phenol notes that burns in your nose mixed with overripe cherry and dark brown banana (hopefully not as it should be); Very soft VERY innocent body, a little soft carbonation, fat sugary sweet; It finishes quite long with more cherry aromas and a little grain too, the band-aid is there as well. It is actually not undrinkable, it is just not good at all.

Jan 17, 2009 Pours deep reddish brown with thick head. Sweet malt and light roast in the aroma. Also alchohol is evident with ripe fruit and a bit of raisin.
Taste starts crisp and a hard sweetness radiates from the center of the tongue out. Warming alohol, sweet fruit and raisin carry through, light roast also. Finishes somewhat cloying. Nice taste, but a bit heavy-habded. I liked this beer, but it was a bit off. Might be better cellared.

Jan 11, 2009 Bottle sample at the Blacklick Wine and Spirits tasting on 1/8/09. Pours opaque light brown with a minimal off-white head. Malty caramel nose with lots of yeast and some tart fruit. Sugary, yeasty flavor.

Jan 11, 2009 Bottle generously shared by theisti. Pours a muddy root beer brown with a thin beige head. The nose is pretty sweet: cotton candy and fruity esters with a touch of spicy alcohol at the finish. Medium-bodied and oily with a slight alcohol warmth at the finish. Warm round wheat with the same notes I detected on the nose. It’s a tad jumbled with a lingering finish, but overall, I enjoyed this one. Thanks for sharing it with me, Tim.
