Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber with a small fading white head. Aroma of clove, banana, and vegetables. Flavor is very vegetal with cauliflower. Oddly sweet with also a stale wheat flavor and soda. Ick. The flavors were not meshing for me in this one. A pretty bad, and strange, beer.

Pretty nice beer here. High in alcohol but also refreshing and dangerously drinkable. Deep amber-brown color with just a very thin, patchy head. The aroma is quite nice, wheaty malt, banana, vanilla with a spicy-mild alcoholic scent. Sharp and tangy flavors, bananas, cloves, dark fruits, with a spicy finish. This goes down very easily but don’t let that fool you, the 10% abv is not a misprint.

Bottle someone left in my fridge after a Halloween party. Pours to a dark amber with very little, quickly dissipating head. Huge aroma - malty, dark and very strong. The taste is outstanding. Very complex, there is a lot of malt, caramel and it’s very sweet. The alcohol hits you as it finishes and warms on it’s way down. I would recommend this to any beer lover. The only thing it needs is a new label - it’s like drink the comic section of the paper.

Bottle, thanks to WeeHeavySD for sharing. Pours a clear, dark amber. Sweet aroma of malt, and a lot of dark fruits - almost sticky-sweet. Sweet malt taste, with dark fruits, dates, molasses, a hint of wood, and herbs. Lingering sweetness. Different and tasty.

I think this was the last one they had at Pat’s. This is awesome. Poured into a tulip, This was a hazy brown, not light brown, not dark brown, just brown. Smells like a mix between a Weizen and a Doppelbock (I dig the creativity of mixing styles here). The alcohol was not apparent to me, but I had this one about 5 beers in.

12oz pour to a nice rubyish color with a big fluffy head that dissipates quickly but clings to the glass nicely. Smells like a good Dopple Bock with no hint that is a weizen. No hint in the taste that it is a weizen until the last bit as it warms to room temp. Sweet, a bit boozy, and perfect for this rainy and cool afternoon here in Pa. I bet this would age well if it came in a corked bomber.

This is my fifth offering from clipper city, and so far, my least favorite. It pours a a darker brown, with a medium head. At 10% abv, I was expecting this to be a sipper, and it was, but it wasn’t nearly as balanced as I had hoped, given the quality of the other brews that I have had from them. As I’ve said before, not the worst beer I’ve ever had, but not the best. Cheers!

12 oz bottle - Pours a slightly cloudy deep ruby red color with medium sized tan head that quickly dissapears. Aroma has ton of chewy toasted caremel, sticky raisens, faint toasty notes, touch of chocolate, black cherries, apple brandy. Flavor is very malty, wheat notes, caramel, oak, raisens, bit of alcohol. Finish is fairly sweet. A nice brew overall, pretty tasty.
