12 oz bottle in a trade long ago with dmac. This was fantastic. I liked the flavors of malted banannas sweet and sticky caramel, some clove. This is the second time that a wheat beer caught me by surprise.

12oz via trade, a ways back Pours dark brown with a tan ring. Nose is very aromatic with dark sweet malts lurking below the surface. Taste is sweet with a lot of clove and pepper. Strange Weizenbock.

Pours a murky dark brown with a creamy head. The nose is sharp, phenolic, peppery, banana, clove, wheaty, alcohol. The flavor is wheaty, banana, warm alcohol, spicy esters, very sharp.

Cloudy orange-brown pour with lots of stuff floating around. Thin light tan head. Intense clove and banana aroma with molasses and sweet malt. Dry wheaty clove and banana flavor with a noticeable alcohol presence. It doesn’t overpower and actually adds to the flavor. Woody and wheaty. Not bad.

Sampled at the Tampa Lowry Park Zoo WaZoo Festival. A very unique brew with a mix of malt and wheat. Nice unfiltered taste and surprisingly smooth.

12oz. Interesting, pours a murky brown with loads of carbonation up the sides and not much of a head to speak of. Aroma is a bit nutty, with some strawberry. Body is syrupy sweet with a cough syrup quality that I just can’t find myself enjoying. Palate is crazy carbonated with a bitter finish. I do not find this very true to the style and it strikes me more belgian in style than german bock.

Bottle->dimpled mug: Pours a large, rocky, off-white head that is diminishing atop a murky, dark brown body. Malt smells of molasses and caramel, hops of celery, and yeast of leather. The body is medium, the texture thick, and the duration of the flavor is long, being moderately sweet and lightly bitter, all finishing like sour milk. A very good beer in my opinion and I think the alcohol content to be a plus.

strong malt aroma. Hazy amber color with a small tan head. Strong malt flavor with bitter hops in the background. Alcohol is well hidden.
