Commercial Description:
Just released our newest seasonal – “Holy Sheet”. From the centuries-old tradition of Belgian Abbey monks comes our Uber Abbey Ale (9%). Aromatic and very full bodied, the beer will pour a deep burgundy in color and feature a rich, robust depth of malt character. Grab a line – Holy Sheet! – or you might be swept overboard.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a small tight lasting head. Aroma was nice light smell of malt, some dark fruit, a little doughy, and a hint of caramel. Taste was rather bland though, no hints of the dark fruits but heavy on the malt. Medium to full body with a bit of tangyness from the alcohol. Not bad I just wish the taste would have been a little closer to the smell.

Lookedk good, but just totally lacked any punch in the flavor. Not horrible on an absolute scale, but I was expecting much, much more for an abbey dubbel. Take a pass on this one.

Medium sized light brown head, retention is fair lacing is minimal. Clear ambe/copper hued brew. Fruity nose, lightly sweet, rum notes, a touch doughy. Body is med/full, lightly creamy on the palate with a good carbonation level. Lightly sweet malts, caramel, light toast notes, some bread and dark fruit flavors, plum a hint of raisin and cherry with a mild alc. note. Lightly sweet malty finish, a touch warm. isalright.

Wonderful red ruby color with thin head. Nice malty profile with minimal impact from hops. On tap at Andy’s.

Big malty nose. Pours a nice reddish brown color. VERY sweet. Not sure what I was expecting but "candy bar" was definitely not it. A little bit of fruit flavor, but my lips feel almost sticky after taking a drink. Interesting beer, but interesting in a good way, not a pour it down the sink way.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a nice clear ruby color with a modest light tan head and light lacing. On the pour, the aroma is extremely strong and vegetative, but that clears to sweet malts and dried fruits with some light clove and banana notes (although a vegetative funk continues to linger in the background). Flavor balances on the sweet side, but has enough tartness to keep interest. Medium-full bodied with moderately high prickly carbonation and a dose of alcoholic warmth, but not hot. Not terribly complex, but also not bad on balance.

lots of fruity stuff in this one when you take a swig.A little stiff on the Alcohol, but hey it’s a Abbey style.

Bottle. Pours a sparkling ruby red with a beige head. Aroma is sweet and soft. Flavor is mostly dominated by malt. Alcohol is present along with a fruity finish. Clipper City has not let me down yet, this is what I expected, it could be better though, not bad for the price. Thanks TikiE
