Commercial Description:
Just released our newest seasonal – “Holy Sheet”. From the centuries-old tradition of Belgian Abbey monks comes our Uber Abbey Ale (9%). Aromatic and very full bodied, the beer will pour a deep burgundy in color and feature a rich, robust depth of malt character. Grab a line – Holy Sheet! – or you might be swept overboard.

A sort of golden burgundy color forming a quickly dissipating head. Aroma shows some dried fruits and some sickly sour bile like scent in the background. Fruity maltiness in the flavor but dry all around. Not really my favorite on any level.

Bottle. Pours a semi-transparent dark brownish ruby. A creamy tan carbonated head dissipates shortly. Lacing is prominent, but not outrageous. It’s gone soon enough. Aroma is great, but I have to strain to get everything. Muted. Candied plums, molasses, bright green apples, brown sugar. Flavor is in the same boat (pardon the pun). Raisin, plums, molasses, plastic, cranberries....but it’s all seemingly being disguised or hidden from me. Velvety smooth, sprinkling watery finish. It’s an enjoyable beer, but I can’t help but think that they could’ve done more with this. There’s a lot of Westy 8 in this beer, but it’s just not coming out right. Too bad.

This bottled brew marked bbf 8/07 from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized tan colored bubbles that were and left behind a transparent typically carbonated brown colored body and a good lacing. The aroma was malty sweet and musty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish vinous aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of malt mild hops sweet and caramel. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Draft at Mahaffey’s. Pours reddish brown. Sweet, but not too sweet. Candied fruit kind of taste, a little bitterness.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of markgugs. Clear, warm, amber golden with an off-white head. Sweetish, fruity nose. Full-bodied, some roasted maltiness and fruit - also both notes of dried and overripe fruit. The finish is quite alcoholic without much hoppiness. 311007

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear hazzlenut brown with a diminished off-white head. Nutty and fruity aroma, slight metallic. Sweet malty with a note of chocolate and a liqourice edge in the finish. Ends with a slight woody note and a minor bitterness and with a sharpness from the fruits.

Bottle 355 ml
Appearance :Amber with gold light , creamy thick ivory head.
Nose :Aromatic vanilla with perfume hops behind. Brown malts at back, ripe gooseberry.6+
Flavour/Palate : Medium bodied with harsh front. Mellow middle carries till finish. Vanilla notes, butter like centre with drying alcohol above. Mild cacophony shown, that made me care less and less as I drunk about it.11+/20

Bottle. Dark auburn-brown body with a creamy eggshell head. Aroma is flowery - dusty fruit and kind of cocoa and cherry sweetness. Warm body with dusty caramel and cocoa flavours along with hints of cherry. Average.
