Commercial Description:
Just released our newest seasonal – “Holy Sheet”. From the centuries-old tradition of Belgian Abbey monks comes our Uber Abbey Ale (9%). Aromatic and very full bodied, the beer will pour a deep burgundy in color and feature a rich, robust depth of malt character. Grab a line – Holy Sheet! – or you might be swept overboard.

Bottle from Stockertown Dist., PA. Starchy molasses seem to figure prominently in the aroma and taste with some candy cane-like malts and some roasty bitterness which seems to slightly dampen the sweetness (almost like a prune). The fruits seem to be dark ones like raisins and dates. The alcohol seems well hidden except in the aroma and finish which is sufficiently dry.

Bottle. no head at all is seen as i pour this clean looking reddish amber abbey ale. a very light aroma with only slight fruitiness and faint hints of clove. flavor is more substantial. sweetish with mid palate caramel, spiy hops and a fair amount of well contained alcohol. a good but not great offering. pretty easy to put back but with enough character to make it fun to drink.

Bottle from Dickinsonbeer. Pours a clear copper color with a small rapidly disappearing head. The aroma was mainly sweet malt with dark fruits present (plums). The flavor is mildly sweet although not what the aroma would have you believe. I also get molasses, malt, and some fruit. There is a little burn as it goes down. Medium mouthfeel with light carbonation.

Reddish brown color without much head. Sweet aroma of cherries and plums that continues into the flavor with the addition of some brown sugar and a hint of molasses. Lovely stuff but maybe a bit under-carbonated for the style.

Clear, dark amber body with a tiny off-white head. The aroma is plums, raisins, brown sugar and herbal hops. The flavor is moderately sweet, lots of dark fruits, lightly spicy yeast and candi sugar. Medium body is softly carbonated and slick, maybe a tad thin.
