| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 7, 2007 Bottle from Stockertown Dist., PA. Starchy molasses seem to figure prominently in the aroma and taste with some candy cane-like malts and some roasty bitterness which seems to slightly dampen the sweetness (almost like a prune). The fruits seem to be dark ones like raisins and dates. The alcohol seems well hidden except in the aroma and finish which is sufficiently dry. Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 30, 2007 Bottle from Dickinsonbeer. Pours a clear copper color with a small rapidly disappearing head. The aroma was mainly sweet malt with dark fruits present (plums). The flavor is mildly sweet although not what the aroma would have you believe. I also get molasses, malt, and some fruit. There is a little burn as it goes down. Medium mouthfeel with light carbonation. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA
