Yellow pour with small white head. Good lacing. Nose of floral hops and citrus. Flavor was the same with some good caramel and piney notes. Creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle - Pours a hazy darkish amber in color with a small white head that faded, ut provided some small lacing on the glass. Aroma is strong of floral and citrus hops. Flavor is quite hoppy with flowery, citrus and pine hopiness coming through. Plenty of malt to provide a nice balance. Finish is slightly "soapy" (Hops!) and medium bitter. Not quite the "hop monster" that I was expecting, but good none-the-less...

Bottle sample at the Free the Hops 2009 Blastoff Party. Poured a pale yellow with a frothy off-white head that had some lasting. Aromas of pine, citrus, and floral hops. Nice balanced flavor of orange citrus and caramel. Medium to full body with a creamy texture.

12oz bottle. Dark gold/light amber with a small, creamy head that laces somewhat. The aroma is like sticking your nose over a bowl of tropical/citrus fruit salad. I was getting tangerines, blood oranges, guavas, watermelon, lime, papaya and light pine. The flavor is medium sweet with a medium bitterness that lingers in the finish. The fruit onslaught translates into the flavor, and the alcohol is virtually hidden. Medium bodied with a creamy texture and tight carbonation. Very drinkable stuff, with an amazingly fruity aroma.

I must say I am not the biggest fan of IPA, but this just opened my eyes to this side of beer. It was very hoppy but well balanced, because of this beer, I will be trying many many more IPAs in the future.

Draft from a firkin. Hazy deep bronze color with a small off white head. Big hop nose with notes of grass and citrus. Low carbonation (expected since served as a real ale). Definite hop bitterness on the palate with nice malt character. Some warming effect in the mouth from the alcohol. I like the malt sweetness here. Tastes of orange, pine, some spice. Finishes relatively clean with some lingering bitterness. Pretty firkin nice!

12-3-08. Bottle. Poured orange-brown. Head was fluffy and off white. Smelled floral and citrusy, light malts. Tasted of grapefruit, pine, grass, and sweet malt, slightly grainy. Aftertaste was smooth and bitter. Very good beer.

Poured from a 12oz bottle (best by June 09) and served in a shaker. This IPA poured a mostly clear amber with a thin, quickly fading head of beige foam. OK lacing. The aroma was full of citrus. Lots of orange and grapefruit. Also some chewy caramel. The flavor had a sweet, citrus bitterness. Tangerine and grapefruit rind were followed by soft caramel. The mouthfeel was medium to full-bodied and slightly resiny. Lighty carbonated. A decent IPA with a clean bitterness. Quaffable.
