The flavor is true to the aroma, with a hint of some other floral notes. The hop flavor is strong, but well balanced with the malt, overall, i think this is one of the better IPA’s I’ ve had. jjuf1853 (471), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 20, 2008 On tap @ The Brass Tap (Wesley Chapel, FL). Pours the standard cloudy golden orange IPA color with a small white head. Aroma is mostly citrus and pine hops. True to the name (Hop^3) it has a ton of hoppiness in the flavor. After trying this in the bottle from the Heavy Seas variety pack I was happy to finally try it on tap. It definitely didn’t disappoint. msante79 (814), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 20, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours golden orange with white head. Aroma is strong with hops, citrus, sweet malt and a little booze. Flavor is big with hops, citrus, sweet frutis, candied sugar and malt. Mouthfeel is a little syrupy. A good IPA but a little to sweet for my palate. nefarious (203), Clarkston, Michigan, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 19, 2008 bottle pour into a tulip. dark orange with a small head. huge sweet citrus and pine aroma. Same on the flavor......you would think this was a DIPA.....its definately pushing the boundries od what an IPA is. A bigger beer for sure. This is very pleasing for sure.......a solid brew and very worthy. fredandboboflo (1404), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 1, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of citrus and grassy hops, toffee and wafer malt. Flavor juicy, sweet and fruity with tropical hop notes, bitterness from the grassier hops. Body could be stronger, just doesn’t quite coat the tongue with either the malts or hops. Still, nice. Aroma of citrus and grapefruit hops, also some light sweet fruits. Flavor is quite fruity- lots of citrus, some mango and other tropical fruits. Nice hop bite in the finish with a grassy/garlic hops note. Palate is a little weak, but overall this is a nice IPA. RedXIII (127), Powell, Ohio, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Pours a very cloudy orange hue that releases a strong aroma of fruits, flowers and hops. Flavor is very pleasant taste of fruit and hops with a bitter malt finish. Clean and smooth on the palate, just a bit too fruity and not hoppy enough. A very drinkable, well-balanced IPA, however. jmikolich (405), Athens, Ohio, USA
