This brewery just keeps impressing me. Their beers tend to move toward the sweet side but for the most part they are well made and well balanced. This beer poured an amber color with a nice creamy off white head. The lacing followed me down the mug as I drank on. It had a spicy hop aroma with a slight sweetness that came through. On the palate it was smooth and pleasing. The hop character was strong but was balanced by a sweet honey like taste. It really wasn’t bitter for a hopped out IPA either - not that bitter is bad.

12 oz bottle - Pours a light amber color that’s fairly clear, with a medium sized creamy off white head. ARoma is full of pungent, oily, resiny citrusy hops, smells like some simcoe and amarillo, along with subtle spicey hops and just a touch of honey-scented malt. Flavor has a notable backbone of slightly chewy malts, along with a fair amount of herbal hops, touch of honey, with a smooth, mildly bitter finish. Definitely good. Much more of an east coast style IPA - bit darker in color, bit maltier, not quite as bitter as the west coast IPAs, but one of the best of this style I’ve had in a while.

Aroma is full of hops and pine. It’s appearance is the classic orange, with a nice white head. It’s flavor is extremely well balanced. Very nice combination of aggressive, but balanced hops. Smooth as IPA gets, awesome!

If you like hoppy beer than this is the beer for you! Definitely a good IPA without that overwhelming grapefruit bite. Sampled at Florida Beer Fest.

12 oz. bottle given to me by Jan Primus (thanks again Jan!). Pours a nice deep golden with an orange tinge to it, and a medium white head. Aroma is perfect, sublte yet incredibly forward, floral and piney hopness, great stuff. Flavour is delicious! Perfect bitterness and hop character, and delicate sweetness from the solid caramel malt body. This stuff is awesome! Aftertaste is a perfectly balanced blend of the whole package. This is the best balanced IPA I’ve ever had. Awesome stuff. My favourite IPA I’ve had so far, maybe because I have a thing for Munich malts.

On Tap, wow what a hop BANG!!! Very nice hop aroma with a citrus note. Pours nice copper color with a nice whit head. Great lace throughout the whole beer. This is by far one of the best IPA’s I have had. It hits you at first with hops than smoothes out with a nice bitter ending. They should call this loaded cannon because it is loaded with HOPS!!!

Bottled @Marty’s Newton, MA. Golden color like a scotch, a slim but persistent cramy white head. Aroma is complex, sweety, floral and fruity, notes of apricot, citrus. Flavor is sweet, spicy and notes of alcohol. Mouth feel is spicy and bitter. Very good beer with a nice price @ Marty’s. THis place is the beer Paradise!
