12 oz bottle. Nice orange color with solid off white head that lasts. WOW! The nose on this thing is huge! Very citrusy nose with hints of peach and pine. funny...the comment about it being sweet at first and then melon and topical fruit is dead on. Great balance. The malt backbone is enough to support the huge hop bitterness. very drinkable.

Pine, Grapefruit hoppiness with earthy yeast tone in the nose. A sip gives you the IBU and bite of the beer but a big gulp shows you the malts. Reminds me of the steelhead IPA. Good balance of bitterness and cleanliness on the finish.

Hazy orange pour with a thick white head. Very fruity aroma with lots of floral hops. Citrus, melon, peach and a bit of dry hop as well. Flavor doesn’t quite match the intensity of the aroma, but still very good. Lots of hops of course. A bit too bitter and unbalanced though. Slightly sweet at first with melon and tropical fruits and then the bitter hops overpower the tongue. Overall a good IPA.

Lingering hop bitterness. Amber color. Thin head. Hop level seems more like an IIPA, but ABV is in the IPA range.

bottle. pours light copper with a creamy white head. nose of peach, pine, and some citrus. well balanced flavor with a good deal of peach and citrus present. smooth and creamy on the palate, it goes down way too fast.finishes quite clean. a very nice IPA that actually has some balance for once.

This beer changes the definition of American-style IPAs, because it’s actually good. (No offense you American IPA lovers). The hops actually blend well with the barley flavors - who would have thought!? Instead of a bitter finish, the hops spark a happy place in the palate that leave you wanting more. There is a subtle sweetness throughout and the floral character and aroma leaves the mouth watering. Yes, the smell is "aggressive," but if you’re reading this, you can’t be faint of heart when it comes to beer. I agree with many posters that this is the closest to IPA perfection I’ve ever tasted. If you find a 6-pack of these, consider yourself lucky and take it home and enjoy!
