Just the right amount of hops with a heightened flow that just can’t be beat. Distinctive and eager is what I would describe this brew with. Pours great and auburn brown, little carbonation, but it still doesn’t taste at all flat because of the way it was brewed. Fantastic flavor, if you’re a hophead, try this!! You will NOT be disappointed! dkachur (2349), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Also some sweetness in the aroma. Faint sweetness in the taste juxtaposed with a straightforward but not overpowering hop profile. RCL (1457), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA

Orange and amber color with very little head, but great lacing. Citrus aroma, enough said. One sniff and you will agree. Deep grapefruit aroma. Taste matches the aroma, but does not strip every taste bud from your tongue. Nice sweetness that compliments the bitterness. A good example of an east coast IPA. Leaves me wanting more. soccer290 (135), Highland Park, Illinois, USA

Good IPA, although not for the faint of heart (don’t try if you don’t like hops). epf33 (222), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 17, 2008 Best Before: May 2006 Super clear amber/copper coloured body with a very thin slightly off-white head. Aroma of nice fresh hops full of pines and spruce with a mouthwatering quality. Medium to Full-bodied; Sharp hoppy flavour with pine and flowers most common with a good malt backbone and a decent alcohol taste. Aftertaste shows a lot of the hop character with little else aside from reasonable malt. Overall, a decent beer...a bit lacking in general, but good for an IPA. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 19-Dec-05.
