jeremytoni (1069), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Feb 4, 2008 From a bottle poured dark amber with a good amount of head. Nice hoppy flavor with a lasting finish. Goodgrief (1144), Middletown, Delaware, USA Jan 30, 2008 Beer poured with an orangey color and smell of grapefruit. Mouthfeel was carbonated, but not overly so. The flavor was predominantly grapefruit/lemon hops with a touch of pine and resin. Nice hop profile. Good balance from sweet malts and a pleasant alcohol flavor was present. I’d say this is almost a double IPA. One of my new favorite IPA’s and I like it more every time I have it. pepsican (883), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA Jan 25, 2008 Rating #200. Pours copper with a thin white head that leaves within seconds. Aroma is hoppy with some citrus background (suprising!). Flavor of floral hops, pine needles, grapefruits, and orange peel. Finishes with a long lasting but not overpowering bitterness. Good. jezmez68 (332), Chesterton, Indiana, USA Jan 25, 2008 Is it Clipper City or Heavy Seas? What is this, some kind of Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium thing? Anyway, this is a decent IPA. Nothing outstanding, but maybe a good one to introduce your Bud drinking buddy to. Pours orange with a pinky finger of head. Nice lacing. Aroma of Amarillo hops is apparent. Slightly pungent. Taste is pretty straightforward IPA, nice mouthfeel with a stained roof and tongue. 45thstbrewer (94), Conowingo, Maryland, USA Jan 23, 2008 Loose Cannon Hop3 is a very good IPA that is both intense and unique made in Baltimore NicerInPerson (337), North of Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Jan 17, 2008 The aroma contained a strong fruity presence of citrusy hops, orange and grapefruit, with a backbone of caramel. The hops were resinous and a bit spicy. The beer arrived clear amber golden with a strong white head which stood tall and never dropped while it laced the glass. The flavor was once again strongly fruity with pineapple esters and a citrusy and grassy spicy hop flavor. The citrus was notably grapefruit and some caramel was thrown in for good measure. The finish was dry and fruity with lasting citrus long into the aftertaste. The body was medium-full with a moderate level of carbonation and a substantial warming from alcohol post consumption. A pretty tasty pint! Pint at Churchill’s in Savannah. vadavid (131), Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA Jan 13, 2008 Updated: Jan 14, 2008Pours an amber-orange color with a thick frothy white head. Pleasant aroma of citrus hops. Bold pine and citrus hops flavor. There’s a slight bitterness on the aftertaste. The mouth feel is slightly sticky. This is very enjoyable, easy to drink libation; be forewarned on the 7.5% ABV. raiderfost (158), virginia beach, Virginia, USA Jan 7, 2008 Thanks Fredjaz for this one. Pours a nice orange color with a nice white head and not much lacing. Nice hop bitterness and citrus flavor. Very drinkable.
