TikiE (360), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Dec 8, 2007 Hoptastic! A great IPA! One of my favorite Heavy Seas, not to big of a fan till now! Cant wait to explore the rest of them! Collint (452), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Dec 8, 2007 12.08.07 12 oz bottle. Aroma of citrus and fruit. taste like a weak version of a 90 minute. A very good beer for hop lovers. Very very nice. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Dec 8, 2007 Bottle courtesy of Secret Santa! Pours a nice gold orange color with great lacing and a bubbly head. Aroma of strong grapefruit and citrus. Flavor is similar with strong hoppy notes. More bitter than malty. Nice grapefruit flavor with minimal amounts of toasty malt. Lingering dryness on the palate. Very good. shackinetics (132), Florida, USA Dec 4, 2007 Updated: Apr 18, 2008pours a deep, hazy gold. thin white head, notable lacing. Intense floral and earthy aromas. Very earthy taste with some rich fruit flavors- Kind of thin mouth-feel and not as complex as say dogfish 90min, but hop punch aplenty and enough Alc/Vol to warm you up after just a few sips... Clipper City has some quality brews! Skeegle (476), Maryland, USA Dec 4, 2007 Updated: Jun 1, 2008Nice IPA. Super bitter, the hops can be overwhelming if you intend to drink more than one. Not a very balanced IPA, but the hop bite is nice for the first beer. Very floral and green tasting. RERATE:
Just had this tonight on tap. Wow! Super sweet IPA, almost tasted like a beautifully hopped, super bitter fruit beer, only the fruits were like aged blueberries and not aspartame-cherry like most wheat/fruit beers. This beer was just fantastic, world class tasting, one of the finest IPA’s I’ve ever had. MikeF (528), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Dec 1, 2007 pleasant aroma of hops and malt. reddish amber in color with a smallish off white head. nicely balanced flavor of sweet caramel and hops. crisp yet rich palate. finishes slightly sweet and slight bitter. mostly dry. approaching a DIPA, well done. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA Nov 30, 2007 Poured a clear dullish orange color with a moderately thick off-white head. Nice citrusy fresh-cut navel orange aroma - doesn’t have the sharp kick or strong aroma of a NW IPA, but still a pleasant smell. Taste has an earthy hop character to it, with the malts being right behind the hops. Floral finish. Not too shabby. rocbyter (902), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA Nov 29, 2007 Light citrus and floral hops with some malts mixed in. Cloudy orange color with a small white head. Moderate amount of lacing. Moderate hops in the beginning finishing with mostly malt flavor. Creamy palate.
