| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 11, 2007 Thin frothy head which dissipates quickly. Light carbonation. Nice succulent hops aroma. Loads of mandarin oranges (YUMMY!), pineapple, a hint of pine and a nic caramel malts backbone. Slightly hazy bright orange. Wow, nice smooth flavor. Medium bodied. Bit of malts for body and a nice hops balance. More citrus and a bit of spicy hops late swallow. Very easy drinking. LIngering hoppy bitterness at the finish. A great, balanced IPA and one that could become a staple brew at my home. alexsdad06 (1079), Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 10, 2007 12 oz. bottle from Matt @ RB. Pours a clear amber color with a medium off white head with good lacing. The aroma is sweet citrus (grapefruit mainly) with some pine and a good amount of malts. The flavor is a pleasing combination of citrus and light pine hops with caramel malts. Medium bodied and easy to drink. This is probably my favorite Clipper City beer. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 9, 2007 Pours your typical golden amber in color. No head, but there is plenty of sticky lacing on the side of the glass.
Smell is all hops. Beautiful, juicy, sticky hops. Taste is wonderfully balanced hops. Complete with bitterness and flavor. This is just a good, easy drinking, sessionable IPA. Good beer, easily the best Clipper City beer I’ve had yet. gsmitty80 (638), Washington DC, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Nov 5, 2007 This is a great ipa with lots of balls, i.e. hops. Good alcohol percentage and mixture of high acidic hops makes this beer jump out of the bottle and linger in your throat. very tasty but not for the weak. dmtroyer (409), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 28, 2007 Draft. Wow this is tasty. I haven’t had this out of the bottle, but this one is amazingly drinkable. Loads of citrus and floral notes in the nose... the body follows along similar lines... poors relatively dark orange with a great orange-tinged head. great dry spice on the finish, this one has a dangerously smooth mouthfeel... never would have guessed it has such a high abv. darn1207 (543), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
