Nov 9, 2007 Pours your typical golden amber in color. No head, but there is plenty of sticky lacing on the side of the glass.
Smell is all hops. Beautiful, juicy, sticky hops. Taste is wonderfully balanced hops. Complete with bitterness and flavor. This is just a good, easy drinking, sessionable IPA. Good beer, easily the best Clipper City beer I’ve had yet.

Nov 5, 2007 This is a great ipa with lots of balls, i.e. hops. Good alcohol percentage and mixture of high acidic hops makes this beer jump out of the bottle and linger in your throat. very tasty but not for the weak.

Oct 28, 2007 Draft. Wow this is tasty. I haven’t had this out of the bottle, but this one is amazingly drinkable. Loads of citrus and floral notes in the nose... the body follows along similar lines... poors relatively dark orange with a great orange-tinged head. great dry spice on the finish, this one has a dangerously smooth mouthfeel... never would have guessed it has such a high abv.

Oct 25, 2007 Pours amber-orange with medium off-white head. rich hop aromas and a big blast of pine, some citrus. Good texture. Well balanced with sweet caramel malts and a moderate bitter flavor of pine, orange, grapefruit. Well played.

Oct 22, 2007 On Draft at Summits Wayside Tavern. One of my all time favorite IPAs. It has a hint of caramel. You notice the alcohol, but it doesn’t distract from the flavor.

Oct 22, 2007 On draft at the Newtown Brewfest. Copper color with medium head. Aroma was mostly hops. Flavor was citrus hops, caramel malt sweetness, and a nice light bitter hop finish. The body was sticky and syrupy leaving you wanting more. Delicious.

Oct 21, 2007 Draft at Federal in Durham, NC. Poured a clear medium orange color. Head was thick and off white with a yellow tint. Retention and lacing were above average. Very attractive aroma of citrusy/resiny hops and malty caramel in equal proportions. Slightly sweet on the tongue with moderate hop bitterness of about 5-6 out of 10. The flavor profile was a perfect balance of malt and hops; again caramel and grapefruit. There was also an occasional sweaty note. The alcohol flavor was present, but subdued. This is amongst the best IPA’s I’ve ever had.
