Flavor was citrus hops, caramel malt sweetness, and a nice light bitter hop finish. The body was sticky and syrupy leaving you wanting more. Delicious. nd1748 (40), dundalk, Maryland, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 21, 2007 Draft at Federal in Durham, NC. Poured a clear medium orange color. Head was thick and off white with a yellow tint. Retention and lacing were above average. Very attractive aroma of citrusy/resiny hops and malty caramel in equal proportions. Slightly sweet on the tongue with moderate hop bitterness of about 5-6 out of 10. The flavor profile was a perfect balance of malt and hops; again caramel and grapefruit. There was also an occasional sweaty note. The alcohol flavor was present, but subdued. This is amongst the best IPA’s I’ve ever had. performula (147), Triangle Area, North Carolina, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 20, 2007 Wow, a beautiful hop aroma that has everything I look for in a hop aroma. Fruity hops along with some bitter hops that are very potent. The hops don’t seem that they were cheap hops. They are very floral and nice. I just think this hop smell is great. The beer is a nice orange color that looks pleasing to the eye, but nothing special. The beer is a bit thin to me, not as creamy as their other beers. I do like the fact that the beer is less malty than their other beers. I get a citrus hop flavor with the beer. The beer overall has a nice flavor hop, but the bittering hop is just right. It doesn’t overload the beer with a bitter taste, it allows each of the hops to shine. You can taste some of the differnt hops in the beer which is great. Again, the beer is not as thick as I would like, but the flavor is just excellent. Great brew. efrumtheidiot (190), Maryland, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 19, 2007 Bottle. Orange/amber color, the hops are evident. It has just enough spice, and is a little sweet with a slight bitter aftertaste. It goes down easier than most IPAs. Very good. travita (1887), Frisco, Texas, USA
