| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Oct 18, 2007 Another wondefully hoppy aroma from these guys with a slight bit of caramel it seems. Flavor has a strong hop character, a bitter finish with a little noticeable alcohl, but quite good all around. bitbucket (2030), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 17, 2007 Bottle, courtesy decaturstevo. Pours clear bright coppery amber with a thin, but surprisingly lacy white head. Lots of aroma as soon as I cracked this one: grapefruit, caramel, fruit, flowers, alcohol. Big medium body, bordering on chewy. Lots of sweetness in the taste - so much that it postpones the finish until the layer of sugar clears from my tongue. Citrus-infused caramel taste. Flowers, pine and grapefruit on the exit. Final score: Hop 3, Malt 3. I figured the hops would have pulled out the win on their home court. hellbilly (1515), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 9, 2007 Nice brew. You can tell it’s triple hopped. The aroma of citrus right at opening. Taste is brisk with a citrus bitter finish. sbraines (2), USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 7, 2007 This really is an exceptionally clean, crisp IPA, with a very clean after taste. Only for real hop lovers, though.
Had this originally at the Buffalo Brewfest in 2007. psuCE03 (122), York, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Delicious and nicely hopped, solid IPA with a spicy kick in the back of the throat ....quite tasty and very enjoyable. Dacrza (252), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 23, 2007 Continuing on the Heavy Seas sampler I purchased....short thin head on a solid burnt orange body...aroma is palpably hoppy, to the point of spruce and pine...the hops heat the tongue...lively, full, chewy body...surprisingly smooth, bitter with a sprinkle of (to me unidentifiable) herbs..."American IPA" indeed--the strenght of the Heavy Seas seems to be in their balance of alcohol and taste; this one works well... one could almost argue this as a winter warmer with its complexity and stoker-like heat...
