Clipper City Heavy Seas Loose Cannon Hop3

Nice brew. You can tell it’s triple hopped. The aroma of citrus right at opening. Taste is brisk with a citrus bitter finish.

This really is an exceptionally clean, crisp IPA, with a very clean after taste. Only for real hop lovers, though. Had this originally at the Buffalo Brewfest in 2007.

Golden amber color with a long lasting head. Spicy hop aroma with hop filled flavor. Excellent IPA.

Delicious and nicely hopped, solid IPA with a spicy kick in the back of the throat ....quite tasty and very enjoyable.

Continuing on the Heavy Seas sampler I purchased....short thin head on a solid burnt orange body...aroma is palpably hoppy, to the point of spruce and pine...the hops heat the tongue...lively, full, chewy body...surprisingly smooth, bitter with a sprinkle of (to me unidentifiable) herbs..."American IPA" indeed--the strenght of the Heavy Seas seems to be in their balance of alcohol and taste; this one works well... one could almost argue this as a winter warmer with its complexity and stoker-like heat...

Beer had a decent of head, with great flavors, and a very good aftertaste. Not to bitter, just the right amount of hops for this beer.

Clear golden with a tall white head that leaves a nice lacing on the glass. Hoppy aroma with some caramel sweetness and citrus notes. Flavor is bitter with a balanced caramel malty sweetness. A bit sticky in the palate but overall pretty good.

Draft. Pours a light straw gold with a pillowy white head. Aroma is hoppy and sweet. Flavor is loaded with citrus and piney hops, balanced by doughy malts. Alcohol is barely evident. Finishes dry and bitter. Nice IPA.
